Gemini (Web & App)

As of today, the consumer Gemini on gemini.google.com and in the mobile app cannot yet add custom MCP servers. Google has rolled out MCP support for Gemini Enterprise and announced custom connectors for the consumer chat — but a broad rollout is still pending.

What works today​

  • Gemini CLI (terminal) connects natively — see Gemini CLI.
  • Gemini Enterprise (Google Cloud) can register its own MCP servers; that runs through the Google Cloud console and is aimed at enterprise customers.

What's coming​

As soon as Google unlocks custom MCP connectors in the consumer chat, we'll add the guide here. Status in the changelog and on the roadmap.
